Emily Goldfield was born in Brooklyn, New York. She attended the University of Michigan where she received her Bachelor’s Degree, Penn State University where she
received a Master’s Degree in Parks & Recreation, and the
University of Southern California where she received a Doctorate in
Education and Fine Arts.
She is listed in Who’s Who in America, and is a member of the Pastel Society of the
West Coast. She is also an active member of the Allied Artists of the Santa Monica
Mountains & Seashore, a group of painters who donate a portion of their proceeds to
state and national parks for education purposes. Allied Artists is a plein air group that
paints along the famous Malibu coastline and in the mountains overlooking the coast.
Best described as a painter in the Romantic Realist style, Emily was first
inspired by the early painters of the great American West.
Through Emily’s landscapes you are invited to a place in nature, through the eye of the
artist, where you can take a break from everyday life and feel refreshed. |
